Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is Belarusian born in Minsk. Sergey, her father (who died in 2019), was an ice-hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk on 5 May 1998. Aryna Sabalenka holds twelve WTA Singles titles, one of which was named 'Grand Slam' in the Australian Open 2023. Doubles is an additional area in which she shines. The US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both played by Elise Mertens. In the end, she won the Sunshine Double was achieved by her and Elise in 2019. Together, they won WTA 1000s in Indian Wells & Miami. Only four women's doubles couples achieve this feat. There were only four couples that achieved this feat during women's doubles. The same year she won at Melbourne in the following year, and then moved up to number one in the world for doubles. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach throughout 2018, up until the end of her season in the year 2019. He also coached her for a short time at the start of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann and her were briefly together in August through September 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach since 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova are her main inspirations.
